The following is a basic tutorial on how to use the videogamesigs.com generator. The tutorial will cover the following; examples of generated sigs, using the sig generator, using your own sig backgrounds
Examples of sigs created Using this generator
Using the Sig Generator
Start by clicking the “Click here to customize this sig” link under the sig you would like to generate

Next, use the following guidelines to enter in the text you would like to appear in the final sig

Step 1: Add and format your Titles
The Green color outline shows where Text 1 appears on the sig. You can reposition the text by adding spaces before the text as shown in the example above. Adding spaces will shift the text to the right on the sig as shown by the green arrow
Use the Font drop down to select the Font you want to use. You can also adjust the Font Size using the Size drop down. Y Pos controls the height of the text positioning, i.e. it moves the text up or down on the sig.
You can also change the color of the font by using the Color Picker button
Text 2 shown in the color Purple, is an optional second line. You can also reposition this text by using spaces before the text.
Use the Font drop down to select the Font you want to use. You can also adjust the Font Size using the Size drop down. Y Pos controls the height of the text positioning, i.e. it moves the text up or down on the sig.
You can also change the color of the font by using the Color Picker button
Step 2: Format your Stats
This section is optional. If you leave the Stat fields empty, the stats will be removed from the sig.
Note the positioning of the 6 stat fields on the sig relative to the form as shown in the color Blue; 3 stats are placed on the left and 3 stats on the right.
Use the Font drop down to select the Font you want to use. You can also adjust the Font Size using the Size drop down. This controls the font type and font size for all the Stat fields
You can also change the color of the font by using the Color Picker button
Step 3: Add your Stats
These are the stats that are covered in Step 2 above. Once again this section is optional, if you delete the entries in the Stat fields no Stats will appear in the sig
Step 4: Enter your own image to use as a background (Optional)
If you have an image that you would like to use for a sig, you can simply enter in the URL of the image (including the http:// portion) into the Background Image field. This will replace the image in the sig with the image you provided. You can then use the steps above to create and format the text that appears on the sig.
FINAL STEP
Once you are satisfied with the look of your sig, make sure the “Save and Generate Code” check box is selected and then click on the Save button.
It takes about 2 - 5 seconds to process and create the sig image. Once the image is ready you will be redirected to a page where you can view your sig and get the code (html or VB) to use on your sites, profiles or message board sigs.
